Enjoyed our last day of hiking along the cliffs, happy we had experienced both the inland and coastal trails in this wonderful part of South Africa.

Very happy that by chance we booked the trail in a week when we could do this hike in daylight hours with plenty of time for an afternoon river crossing. The hike is so beautiful it would be a shame to miss the coastal section by hiking at night with a headtorch!

Scott Hut to Oakhurst Hut. Shortest day with a couple of significant river crossings. Section to Elandsbos river had views of the cliffs, bays and breaking waves.

My Christmas Pressie to Mike was booking the Otter Trail, I wrapped a Go Outdoors magazine which profiled the trail and had persuaded me we needed to do it. Am so glad that we did. Our experience was enriched by the other hikers we joined on the trail as well as the beauty of our surroundings.
